Your Hosts
Eva and Fraser took over the Pension Pod Vlekem in January 2023 and immediately renamed it ‘U Skota’, mainly because the previous name, Pension Pod Vlekem was a little misleading (the nearest lift is 400m away, and it doesn’t operate all season!) Also, of course, because Fraser is originally from Scotland, but has lived in the Czech Republic since moving to Jablonec in 1995.
They have known the property as neighbours for many years, having a cottage across the road. Their children have grown up spending weekends and holidays in the area. They learned to ski here, they explore the forests and invite their friends here.
They are delighted to extend a warm welcome to all families looking to enjoy the beautiful Jizerske mountains.
By car from Prague
- Take the D10/E65 out of Prague from Černz Most, following the signs for Mladá Boleslav/Liberec
- After 73km take exit 71 for R35/E442 toward Liberec/Jablonec N. N.
- After 12km take exit 31 for Route 65 toward Jablonec n. N.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Nová Pražská/Route 65
- At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto U Zeleného stromu/Route 14
- Turn right onto Liberecká
- Turn left onto Rýnovická
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Želivského
- At the roundabout, continue straight onto Janovská
- Turn right after the Penzion Na Rozcestí
- After 3km the Chata U Skota will be on your right
By car from Dresden
- Take the A4 until exit 91
- Follow the S112 and then the 178 towards Zittau
- Follow the 332 and then the 35 towards Liberec
- From the 35 take exit towards Jablonec nad Nisou
- At the 3rd roundabout take the second exit
- At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Janovská
- Turn right after the Penzion Na Rozcestí
- After 3km the Chata U Skota will be on your right
